Recipe: The True North – fresh frozen margarita

Rebecca ConnorsJune 2, 2026

The True North is a frozen, mint-forward cocktail that brings crisp freshness and a hint of floral sweetness together for a clean, summer-ready serve. Adds a striking visual moment to your menu with minimal complexity.

Ingredients

    • 2 oz tequila blanco
    • 1 oz fresh lime juice
    • ¾ oz elderflower liqueur
    • ½ oz simple syrup
    • 1 oz fresh mint (or 8–10 leaves, muddled)
    • 1 cup ice
    • 4 drops of Ripples Foamer

Instructions:

Step 1: Blend the Mint

In a blender, combine mint leaves, lime juice, and simple syrup. Blend lightly until the mint is fully incorporated.

Step 2: Dry Shake

Transfer all ingredients to your cocktail shaker, along with tequila blanco, elderflower liqueur, and the Ripples Foamer. Shake well without ice.

Step 3. Add Ice + Wet Shake

Add ice to the shaker and shake for a few more seconds until chilled.

Step 4. Prepare the Glass + Double Strain

Rim a rocks cup or plastic cup with salt and add ice. Double strain the cocktail into the glass. Fill to the brim.

Step 5. Print and Serve

On a smooth even foam surface, print your desired design on the foam using the Ripple Maker cocktail printer, and serve immediately for a stunning presentation.

This cocktail is built to stand out. With its crisp, refreshing flavor, the True North naturally attracts attention, encourages photos, and turns every serve into a shareable moment, helping boost visibility, foot traffic, and revenue.

The Lesson Many Food & Beverage Businesses Learn Too Late

Food and beverage businesses are usually managed through things that can be measured: costs, staffing, inventory, speed of service, menu performance, waste, reviews, and repeat visits. All of that matters. A business cannot survive without strong operations. But customers do not experience a business through its spreadsheet. They remember how the place made them feel.
