Valentines Day drink

This Valentine’s Day, we asked to be inspired by your love stories.

We want to send a big thank you to all of the coffee shops and bars that participated, and offer a huge congratulations to Jeff Gover who created his submission at Cape Fear Wine and Beer in Wilmington, NC.

Jeff created a beautiful hand drawn love story of a pirate and a mermaid. Our judges all swooned and felt it captured the idea of love without borders.

Winner design

Jeff is a real estate agent and musician. He got into art while recovering from a motorcycle accident – emulating his favorite tattoo artists. He was introduced to Ripples by the Cape Fear bartenders who “love to mess with him” by putting “silly things on his drinks.”

Turns out it was a match made in heaven and a perfect new medium for Jeff’s own (prize winning!) designs.

“It still amazes me that the Ripple Maker can do what it does! It’s definitely a fun addition to a night drinking with friends.”

Congratulations Jeff!

And that’s what drives repeat visits and long-term profitability.According to Duke University research, 40-45% of our daily actions are driven by habit, meaning customers don’t repeatedly choose a café because it’s the best; they choose it because it’s familiar.Once that habit is formed, switching requires effort, and most people simply don’t. But habit alone isn’t what creates real loyalty - recognition does. Here is why investing in your regulars isn’t just good hospitality - it’s one of the most powerful drivers of long-term business success:
