Cocktail Printing Short Guide:

1. How cocktail printing works?

To print a logo, message, or photo on a cocktail, you need two things: a foam-topped drink and a Ripple Maker cocktail printer.
Upload your design, place the glass on the tray, tap Print, and the image appears on the foam in about 10 seconds.

2. What you can print on?

Any cocktail with a smooth, stable foam on top.
Espresso martinis, whiskey sours, pisco sours, and cream-based drinks work especially well.
You can also add foam to almost any cocktail with a few drops of foamer.
The Ripple Maker fits glasses 7 to 10.5 cm wide and 4.5 to 22.5 cm tall, so coupes, martini glasses, and most rocks glasses all work.

3. Cocktails and mocktails

The process is exactly the same.
Printing depends on the foam, not the alcohol, so mocktails and zero-proof signatures can be just as personalized as the rest of your menu.

4. Getting the foam right

Prints look sharpest on foam that is bright white, smooth, and free of large bubbles. Three habits make the biggest difference:
– Double strain through a fine sieve.
– Fill the glass to the brim.
– Print soon after pouring.

Ripples Foamer (cocktail foaming agent) is an alcohol-free, tasteless cocktail foaming agent that creates a stable, printable foam with just 3 to 4 drops.

The foam lasts for more than 10 minutes without altering the cocktail’s original flavor, making it ideal for adding personalized designs without compromising the drink’s taste.

Not sure which foam to use?
We tested egg white, aquafaba, common bar foaming agents, and Ripples Foamer side by side.

5. What is the print process?

  1. Choose a design from the Ripples library, upload your own logo or artwork, or let guests send a photo by scanning a QR code.
  2. Place the glass on the tray. The machine detects the cup height automatically.
  3. Tap print. The design is ready in about 10 seconds.

6. What you need to start?

A Ripple Maker drink printer, a printer Pod (printer cartridges) in the right color for your drinks, and a reliable way to make foam.
The Coffee Pod is the go-to for espresso martinis.
The Red Pod, Chameleon Pod, and Pro-only color blends give vibrant prints on lighter cocktails.

Our favorite ways to make
foam-topped cocktails

Ripples Foamer – our own formulation to give you perfectly printable drinks every time.
Fresh egg whites – separate from the yolk and add to the shaker with the rest of the ingredients
Aquafaba – powdered or from chickpea brine – vegan alternative to egg whites.
22ml (3/4 oz) is equivalent to 1 egg white
Espresso – the fresher the better
ALWAYS double strain with a fine sieve for the smoothest, bubble-free canvas
Fill your glass to the brim! Our favorite is a 150ml (5 oz) champagne coupe
